INDIGENOUS ART FROM THE NGV COLLECTION THE IAN POTTER CENTRE: NGV AUSTRALIA FEDERATION SQUARE, MELBOURNE
The NGV Indigenous Collection charts the evolution of contemporary Indigenous Art throughout all regions of Australia and across media. This important new collection installation features significant works by several represented and exhibiting artists through Alcaston Gallery's long exhibition history including:
Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori & Bentinck Island artists (Birmuyingathi Maali Netta Loogatha, Warthadangathi Bijarrba Ethel Thomas, Thunduyingathi Bijarrb May Moodoonuthi, Kuruwarriyingathi Bijarrb Paula Paul, Wirrngajingathi Bijarrb Kurdalalngk Dawn Naranatjil, Rayarriwarrtharrbayingathi Mingungurra Amy Loogatha). Sandy Brumby, Yulyurlu Lorna Napurrurla Fencer, Emily Kame Kngwarreye, Queenie McKenzie, Jack Britten, Clinton Nain, Eubena Nampitjin, Walangkura Napanangka, Tiger Palpatja, Rover Thomas, Cornelia Tipuamantumirri, Ronnie Tjampitjinpa, Tim Leura Tjapaltjarri, Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, Nora Wompi and a major painting by Willie Gudabi donated to the NGV in 1997 by Alcaston Gallery Director and NGV Fellow Beverly Knight.

CAIRNS INDIGENOUS ART FAIR (CIAF) BIG SCULPTURE SHOWCASE
CIAF's inaugural Big Sculpture Showcase will present 18 large scale sculptures to be displayed around the Cairns Convention Centre featuring work by some of Queensland’s most highly regarded Indigenous artists including Shirley Macnamara, Brian Robinson, Ian Waldron, Francoise Lane, Paula Savage and Rhonda Woolla.
CIAF will be open from the 6 - 10 of July 2022.
SHIRLEY MACNAMARA IN FACELESS: TRANSFORMING IDENTITY CAIRNS ART GALLERY
FACELESS: Transforming Identity is an exhibition that challenges established notions of identity presenting work by thirteen North Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, including Alcaston Gallery represented Shirley Macnamara with her work 'Mourning For Loss'.
This important exhibition will open from 25 June 2022 until 2 October 2022 at the Cairns Art Gallery
MAJOR WORK BY BETTY MUFFLER PRESENTED AT ACCA, MELBOURNE
A major new large-scale commissioned painting by leading Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands artist Betty Muffler will be presented at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) in Melbourne in Like A Wheel Turns: The 2022 Macfarlane Commissions from 2 July - 4 September 2022.
The Macfarlane Commissions enable new work of significant scale by emerging and mid-career Australian and international artists.
TIGER YALTANGKI ANNOUNCED AS A FINALIST FOR THE PAUL GUEST PRIZE 2022 AT BENDIGO ART GALLERY
One of Australia’s most innovative and exciting First Nations Australian contemporary artists, Tiger Yaltangki has been announced as a finalist in the Paul Guest Prize 2022 at the Bendigo Art Gallery.
