Four Alcaston Gallery artists selected as Finalists in the 2016 Len Fox Painting Award

Alcaston Gallery is delighted to announce that artists Naomi Hobson, Karen Mills, Alec Baker and Shirley Purdie have been chosen as finalists in the 2016 Len Fox Painting Award. Held at the Castlemaine Art Gallery and Historical Museum, Victoria, the $50,000 major acquisitive art prize is generously funded by Len Fox (1905-2004) in celebration of the life and work of his uncle Emanuel Phillips Fox (1865-1915).

David Frank Wins The King's School Art Prize 2016

Alcaston Gallery is proud to announce David Frank has won the prestigious $20,000 acquisitive art award The King's School Art Prize for his painting Policeman Story, 2015. David Frank was announced the winner on Friday 26th August by the guest judge Ms Anne Ryan, Curator Australian Art, Art Gallery of New South Wales. 

We congratulate David Frank on this significant honour and recognition.

David Frank Wins Delegates Choice Award - Lingiari Award

A very excited congratulations to Alcaston Gallery represented artist David Frank. David has just been announced the winner of the CLC delegates pick of the Vincent Lingiari Art Award with his painting 'Our Future'. 'Our Future' depicts the famous scene of Gough Whitlam pouring red dirt into Vincent Lingiari’s palm.
