GREG SEMU | 56th VENICE BIENNALE 2015

Independent Indigenous Researcher, Curator and Artist Greg Semu has been invited to exhibit in Personal Structures at Palazzo Bembo, during the 56th Venice Biennale 2015 from 9 May – 22 November 2015.

The invitation to exhibit in Personal Structures is another highlight in an extraordinary 12 months for Greg Semu. In 2014 he featured in the Daegu Photo Biennale, Korea, Melbourne Art Fair ‘14, was Artist in Residence at Buku Larrnggay Mulka, Northern Territory, and undertook a residency in the Cook Islands granted by Creative New Zealand, producing a body of photographs for his major upcoming project Symbols of Power. Semu was awarded and is currently undertaking the prestigious Creative New Zealand Visual Arts Residency at the Kunstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin 2014-2015 where he has also conducted lectures for visiting art students from several European universities.

DENA ASHBOLT | PHD CANDIDATE EXHIBITION @ MONASH UNIVERSITY

Within the Buffer: Methodologies for Drawing in Response to the Passing of Time, a solo exhibition by DENA ASHBOLT will be on display at the Monash University Art Design and Architecture Gallery, Caulfield,  from 10 - 14 March 2015.

Emily Evans announced as a finalist in the Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize 2015.

Congratulations to EMILY EVANS who has been selected as a Finalist in the inaugural Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize 2015!

The Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize is a biennial prize and exhibition organised by the Gallery at Bayside Arts and Cultural Centre.  The award will enable the acquistion of important artworks for the Bayside City Council Art and Heritage Collection. 

The exhibition will be held at The Gallery @ Bayside Arts and Cultural Centre, Brighton from 2 May - 13 June, 2015 with the official opening and announcement of the winner to be held on Thursday 7 May, 6.00pm.
