An Orange Regional Gallery & Artist Profile partnership exhibition.

Australasian Painters 2007 – 2017, brings together a selection of paintings by over 140 artists featured in Artist Profile magazine over its 10 year history, providing a comprehensive overview of Australasian painting from 2007 to 2017.

Alcaston Gallery is pleased to announce the inclusion of represented artists Karen Mills, Naomi Hobson, and Pedro Wonaeamirri.

NONGGIRRNGA MARAWILIProgression30 June - 22 July 2017

It is a great honour for Alcaston Gallery to present the sixth solo exhibition of acclaimed artist Nonggirrnga Marawili: Progression. Thank you to clients, friends and art lovers for attending the opening event. The exhibition offers an outstanding insight into the depth and breadth of the artist's practice and will be on dislay until 22 July. Do not miss this opportunity to view new paintings by one of Australia's most dynamic artists. 

Alcaston Gallery is open Tuesday to Friday 10 am - 6 pm, and Saturday 11 am - 5 pm. 

Claudia Moodoonuthi's solo exhibition Ruby and Hunter: Clauudi Moodoonuthi, curated by Freja Carmichael, opens tonight at Redland Art Gallery. There will be a special floor talk with the artist on Sunday 2 July 10.30 am.  

In Ruby and Hunter, stories relating to Claudia Moodoonuthi’s place of belonging, Kaiadilt Country of Bentinck Island in the Gulf of Carpentaria, QLD are represented through reflections on culture, identity and family ties. Inspired by her two dogs named Ruby and Hunter, Moodoonuthi honours her people’s innate relationship with dingos, and a shared understanding of the land and each other. These narratives are translated through vibrant paintings and sculptural forms that embody a deep connection to Country nurtured during Claudia Moodoonuthi’s formative years.

An exhibition held in conjunction with NAIDOC Week 2017.

The exhibition runs from Sunday 2 July – Sunday 13 August 2017. The gallery is not open on Saturdays. Visit their website for more information.

Alcaston Gallery is delighted to announce Sally Gabori is featured in mad love curated by Del Kathryn Barton, now on exhibit in Berlin, Germany. 

mad love is a group exhibition featuring some of Australian's most important contemporary artists and is on show at Arndt Art Agency (A3) 06.06.17 - 29.09.17. 

Participating artists: Brook Andrew, Del Kathryn Barton, Pat Brassington, Dale Frank, Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori, Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran, Patricia Piccinini, Ben Quilty and Paul Yore.

The exhibition “mad love” has been able to be realised through the direct support of the Australian Government as part of the cultural initiative Australia now 2017 – a year-long program celebrating Australian arts, culture, science and innovation across Germany.

The Brisbane City Council presents Maiwar, a city-wide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contemporary art exhibition on display around Brisbane during May 2017.  

Alcaston Gallery's youngest artist Claudia Moodoonuthi's work My Body, My Country  will be projected onto the William Jolly Bridge as part of Maiwar from Wednesday 24-Sunday 28 May. Read more.
