PROVENANCE DOES MATTER: LIVING WITH CONTEMPORARY ART at GALLERY 369 BENDIGO

Alcaston Gallery will be presenting Provenance Does Matter: Living with Contemporary Art at Gallery 369 in Bendigo, Victoria from July 2 - August 13, 2016. A further development on the major group show Provenance Does Matter: The Collectors' Exhibition we  are delighted to bring to Bendigo a collection of contemporary photography, video, paintings, ceramics, scuptures and bark paintings with impeccable provenance from Alcaston Gallery's significant stable of artists.

Exhibiting artists:  Naomi Hobson, Judy Holding, Nonggirrnga Marawili, Greg Semu, Dean Smith and Angela Tiatia

Exhibition opening at Gallery 369 Saturday 2 July, 2 - 4 pm.

 VIEW THE EXHIBITION CATALOGUE

This exhibition includes new work by renowned artist Greg Semu from a recent collaborative project with Cairns based artist Grace Lillian Lee and indigenous models including Rhondel Williams. Semu currently has a major installation on the ground floor of the National Gallery of Victoria – NGV International The Raft of the Tagata Pasifika (People of the Pacific) runs from 10 June – 11 September 2016. 

Central Victorian artists include internationally award-wining ceramic artist Dean Smith and Bendigo born acclaimed artist Judy Holding. Paintings by Naomi Hobson an emerging talent from far North Queensland and recent winner of the Alice Prize will be on show.
