Alcaston Gallery is delighted to present AFL Footy in Aranda Country Award, a jubilant exhibition of new ceramic artworks by the acclaimed HERMANNSBURG POTTERS celebrating the passion for AFL in Aranda Country.

Honouring heroes of the game such as Nicky Winmar and Adam Goodes, and both national and community AFL teams, including the beloved Western Aranda Bulldogs in Ntaria/Hermannsburg, this exhibition of vibrant hand-crafted terracotta and underglaze pots showcases work by both master and emerging Hermannsburg Potters.

The $5,000 non-acquisitive award is judged by Myles Russell-Cook, Senior Curator of Australian and First Nations Art, National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and the winning pot will be donated to the National Gallery of Victoria to form part of the NGV Collection, thanks to the patronage of a generous donor and footy fan.
