Melbourne Art Fair 2024

Alcaston Gallery is excited to participate in a new edition of the Melbourne Art Fair, Australasia’s progressive forum for contemporary art and ideas, with a focus on solo shows and works of scale and significance from 60 of the region’s leading galleries and Indigenous art centres and complemented by an ambitious program of live performances, large-scale installations, international video art and lively conversations from the 22 – 25 of February 2024 at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, 2A Clarendon St, South Wharf VIC 3006.
Alcaston Gallery will be presenting a collection of significant work by the late Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori (c.1924 - 2015) following the artist’s major international solo survey exhibitions at the distinguished Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain in Paris in 2022 and the Triennale di Milano in Milan in 2023.
Alcaston Gallery will also present a new body of work by one of the country’s most innovative contemporary artists, Tiger Yaltangki, renowned for his intersectional practice that merges inherited Aṉangu cultural knowledge with pop culture iconography.
