NOW OPEN | ECHOES UNVEILED: ART BY FIRST NATIONS WOMEN FROM AUSTRALIA , ARTIZON MUESUM, TOKYO
Currently presented at ARTIZON Museum, Tokyo, Japan until 21 September 2025 is the major exhibition, Echoes Unveiled: Art By First Nations Women From Australia, showcasing work by significant First Nations Women artists from Australia, including the late Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori (c.1924-2015) and Noŋgirrŋa Marawili (c.1939-2023).

The hotly anticipated NATSIAA Awards Ceremony is fast approaching, with the recipients of Australia's premier First Nations art prize being announced 8 August at the official awards ceremony, presented by the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
Like the rest of Australia, we are excitedly anticipating this year's ceremony and congratulate and wish the best of luck to Alcaston Gallery represented and exhibiting artists, Aileen Napaljarri Long, Binygurr Wirrpanda, Djakaŋu Yunupiŋu and Pedro Wonaemirri We would also like to extend our congratulations to all of this year's finalists!
The NATSIAAs finalist exhibition is presented at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, Darwin, until 26 January 2026.
JUDY HOLDING | FINALIST, 2025 DEAKIN CONTEMPORARY SMALL SCULPTURE PRIZE
Congratulations to Judy Holding, who has been named a finalist in the Deakin Contemporary Small Sculpture Award 2025 for her cast bronze work, Mayarrwiyi and the Cocky 2!
The Deakin Contemporary Small Sculpture Award finalist exhibition will be held from 27 August – 10 October 2025, with the launch and announcement of winner held on Wednesday 3 September.
25TH BIENNALE OF SYDNEY ANNOUNCES TITLE, THEME AND LOCATIONS
The 25th Biennale of Sydney has made some major announcements. Rememory is the title and theme of its 2026 iteration, presented from 14 March - 14 June 2026. The Biennale states: "A means of revisiting, reconstructing, and reclaiming histories that have been erased or repressed, Rememory signifies the intersection of memory and history, where recollection becomes an act of reassembling fragments of the past—whether personal, familial, or collective."
Exhibition locations for the Biennale have also been announced: Art Gallery of New South Wales, Campbelltown Arts Centre, Chau Chak Wing Museum at the University of Sydney, Penrith Regional Gallery and White Bay Power Station.
