ALCASTON GALLERY FEATURED IN VAULT MAGAZINE'S MUST-SEE GUIDE TO SYDNEY CONTEMPORARY 2025
Alcaston Gallery is pleased to be included in VAULT Magazine editor-in-chief Alison Kubler’s Must-See Guide to Sydney Contemporary 2025.
This selective list presents Kubler’s standout presentations for Sydney Contemporary 2025, which is presented from 11-14 September at Carriageworks, Gadigal Land / Sydney.

Alcaston Gallery is proud to share a major forthcoming exhibition by Tania Major, Kowanyama - When Rain Falls, When Earth Sleeps, presented at Cairns Art Gallery from 13 September - 23 November 2025. This is a landmark career achievement, and follows a sell-out debut exhibition at Alcaston Gallery in 2024, cementing Major's position as a rising star of contemporary art.

Alcaston Gallery is thrilled to share Cairns Art Gallery's forthcoming exhibition by Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori (c.1924-2015), Munamurra Ngijinda Dulk - My Country. Presented from 13 September - 30 November, this exhibition is Gabori's first major exhibition in the region and marks the gallery's 30 year celebrations.

Congratulations to Dean Smith, who has been named a Finalist in the Klytie Pate Ceramic Award!
This prestigious biennial award recognises the creative legacy of artisan Klytie Pate and pays homage to her skill and determination. The official opening and announcement of winners will take place on 19th September 2025 at Arts Mansfield, Victoria.

The 2025 Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (NATSIAA) features works by outstanding First Nations artists, including Alcaston Gallery represented and exhibiting artists Djakaŋu Yunupiŋu, Binygurr Wirrpanda (who received the Highly Commended award at NATSIAA!), Pedro Wonaeamirri and Aileen Napaljarri Long.
