Alcaston Gallery is excited to present Idris Murphy: The 'within of things' , the artist's first solo exhibition with the gallery .
Established Sydney-based painter Idris Murphy exhibited with Alcaston Gallery for the first time in the group show Time and Tide. Murphy is renowned for his intimate understanding of the Australian landscape rendered by unabashed observation and a masterly formal approach. His landscape paintings contain acknowledged reverence to the ancient, indigenous spirituality of place.
