Alcaston Gallery is thrilled to present solo bodies of work from two senior artists of the APY Lands Alec Baker and Peter Mungkuri in Tjilpi Kutjara (Two Old Men).

The artists' monumental paintings in acrylic, alongside their detailed monochromatic ink and goauche paintings on paper create dynamic representations of landscape; highlighting their deftness in both mediums, and extraordinary detailed knowledge of country.

In 2017 Peter Mungkuri won the inaugural Hadley's Art Prize. Alec Baker has been a finalist in the Alice Prize, Len Fox Painting Award, Telstra National Indigenous & Torres Strait Islander Art Awards and the Hadley's Art Prize.
