All About Art: Installation Images
Alcaston Gallery Annual Collectors' exhibition, All About Art this year features stunning works from Christine Yukenbarri, Pedro Wonaeamirri and Gulumbu Yunupingu. It is also the debut solo exhibition for emerging Lockhart River artist, Cheryl Accoom.
Christine Yukenbarri is the daughter of Helicopter Tjungurrayi and the late Lucy Yukenbarri (Napanangka), and was taught her craft in the 'school without doors' sitting alongside her parents, looking, experimenting and learning.

This exhibition of highly sought after and collectable art pieces includes sculpture and paintings by Pedro Wonaeamirri and Gulumbu Yunupingu. Both artists working in their traditional medium of natural ochre on wood and bark, both very different in their stories and inheritance passed onto them by their family and ancestors. These artists are linked through a refinement of technique, meticulously bringing to life stories of their diverse country.

Until Saturday 14th August 2010
