Alcaston Gallery hosted the Melbourne launch of the new publication Billy Benn, honouring the life and art of Billy Benn Perrurle. The publication features essays by Ian McLean and Judith Ryan.
Beverly Knight, Director of Alcaston Gallery and Patron of Bindi Inc. officially launched the publication Billy Benn on Thursday 7 April 2011. Guest Speakers Dr Jenny Green, Linguist, spoke about the relationship between Aboriginal language and art and Dr Judith Ryan, Senior Curator of Indigenous Art, National Gallery of Victoria provided a wonderful insight to the life and art of Billy Benn Perrurle.
