Previous Exhibition / Clinton Nain Blue Stone and Blak Flowers
  My mother would often say
“Children are like flowers in the garden, they need light and water to grow.”

We are the children, the blak flowers growing in the blue stone garden. That is over grown with weeds.

As we fight for our lives, and for our place in the sun to grow strong and tall and not fall.

(Excerpt from “Blue Stone and Blak Flowers” by Clinton Nain, July 2011)

Blue Stone and Blak Flowers is the new exhibition by exciting Melbourne-based artist, Clinton Nain. This new body of work was inspired by Clinton’s memory of growing up in old Fitzroy, and his social commentary on the issues that surrounded his childhood, such as homelessness, domestic violence and drugs and alcohol.
