Search Ceramics Alcaston Gallery has exhibited the work of the Hermannsburg Potters for many years. The ceramics from Hermannsburg are collected nationally and internationally, commanding artistic attention and acclaim. The Aranda people from Hermannsburg, a former Lutheran mission about 130 kms west of Alice Springs, have more than a 70-year tradition of producing art.
Alcaston Gallery also exhibits the ceramic work from Tiwi Design Aboriginal Corporation - the longest surviving pottery in a remote Aboriginal community. These ceramics are unique, rare and sometimes whimsical ceramic masterpieces interpreting the life and culture of the Tiwi people
